Disney Trip 2019

Every two years, the Amherst Marching Comets organizes a performance in the Orlando, Florida Disney Parks. The trip is open to all students in grades 9-12, who participated in marching band during the 2018-19 school year.  Since this is a performance of a lifetime, it is generally expected that all students attend.  If there is an issue with finances, please talk to the director as we want to make sure students don't miss this great opportunity to perform in front of thousands of people cheering them on.

The trip is scheduled to occur over spring break from March 22nd-28th, 2019. The following represents a tentative itinerary provided by Mr. Barbaro, who plans the trip in its entirety and passes the savings of not having a tour company organizing the trip to YOU! This itinerary will be updated as Disney finalizes our performance time.

Trip Payment Information
We are currently looking at ways you may be able to pay with a credit card.  The Booster Organization has a SQUARE account we are learning and we may also be looking at a Paypal account in the next month or so. More information to follow.

All payments are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE.

The total cost of the trip is estimated to be around $825.00

It is dedicated to the celebration of human achievement, namely technological innovation and international culture, and is often referred to as a "Permanent World's Fair." In 2011, the park hosted approximately 10.83 million guests, making it the third most visited theme park in the United States, and sixth most visited theme park in the world.

Explore exciting attractions, enchanting international pavilions, award-winning fireworks and seasonal special events. Celebrating the human spirit, Epcot has 2 distinct realms: Future World, which features technological innovations, and World Showcase, which shares with Guests the culture and cuisine of 11 countries: Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, the United States, Japan, Morocco, France, United Kingdom and Canada.

Home to more than 1,700 animals across 250 species, the park reflects Walt Disney’s dedication to conservation and is committed to animal care, education and research. Explore 6 enthralling lands: Oasis, Discovery Island, Africa, Rafiki's Planet Watch, Asia and DinoLand, U.S.A. areas

Each morning, 15 minutes before the schedule opening time, you can go through the turnstiles and head to the Tree of Life area. Soon, Minnie, Pluto, and Goofy arrive to welcome you to the park! Mickey appears and gets on the truck and you can follow them into Harambe as the Adventure Begins in the Animal Kingdom!

The Tree of Life, an impressive icon, stands tall in the distance as you emerge from the entrance, called the Oasis. Then think of the park as a bicycle wheel, the Tree of Life is the hub and the various lands stretch out like spokes.  Animal Kingdom opened with the Oasis, Safari Village (renamed Discovery Island), Camp Minnie-Mickey, Africa, Conservation Station (renamed Rafiki's Planet Watch), Dinoland USA and a small portion of Asia. Before the park's first birthday, a larger portion of Asia opened to complete the circle.
